Special Post: Podcast Recommendations II

I was recently indulging in some really good podcasts and wanted to follow up my previous podcast post from about a year ago with a new one. Podcasts are a great resource for self-education while I am on the road or working out which is more time than I can devote to quietly reading a book in my favorite chair. I hope these will be considered options to add to your subscription list.

1.) The Portal: Eric Weinstein finally started his own podcast after appearing on JRE a few times. Weinstein is managing director of Thiel Capital, he is a mathematical physicist, economist and philosopher. Essentially your ears owe him some attention. The Portal is a relatively new podcast but if you are like me you will love listening to a man much smarter than you interview the likes of Jocko Willink, Rabbi Wolpe, Werner Herzog and Peter Thiel.

Favorite Episode: #3 Werner Herzog (who is my favorite documentary filmmaker)

2.) The GaryVee Audio Experience: Gary Vaynerchuk is a very successful entrepreneur, author, investor and public speaker. He is relentless with advice and his take on modern business. If you are involved with the business world at all, it is a great listen. He produces a lot of content so it might be overwhelming but I like tuning in on Monday morning when I am getting ready to start a new week. Vaynerchuk isn’t afraid to curse up and down while he is being interviewed but his advice is spot on usually.

Favorite Episode: No Fear: What Makes a Winner #AskGaryVee 326 with Houston Rockets Owner Tilman Fertitta

3.) The Jordan B. Peterson Podcast: Dr. Peterson has taken the world by storm since the release of his wonderful book 12 Rules for Life. Often misrepresented by the media, he is an extremely thoughtful man that does his best unlike anyone else I have ever heard to bring religion and science together. He is well read and also recommends several great books in his talks. Peterson has positively influenced me and many other young men. I particularly enjoy his series, “The Psychological Significance of the Biblical Stories.” I would urge you to listen to him and form your own opinion on him.

Favorite Episode: #23 Cain and Abel: The Hostile Brothers
